GALESBURG — Playing the first of back-to-back home contests in as many nights, the Sandburg volleyball team swept Triton 25-17, 25-17, 25-23 on Tuesday.
The Chargers' (4-5) attack was led by sophomore Abigail Shaffer, who posted a team-best eight kills and contributed a block in the victory. Freshman Jalie Eller turned in seven kills, picked up 10 digs and collected a block.
Harlee Hainds, Madalynn Knapp and Quinn Rexroat each had four kills for Sandburg. Rexroat also had 20 assists from her setter position.
Libero Addison Gillen had a Sandburg-leading 12 digs in the win, and sophomore Emma Schweigert had two of the Chargers' five aces in the sweep.
