GALESBURG — Emma Wolfe and Riley Creasey each homered in Game 1, but the Carl Sandburg College softball team ended its regular season with a pair of losses to Black Hawk on Friday afternoon at the Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.

KEY MOMENTS
• The Chargers raced to an early 5-0 lead highlighted by Wolfe's two-run homer in the first inning and RBI singles in the second from Maleaha Nagel and Kayla Wolf.
• Black Hawk put up seven unanswered run to take the lead before Creasey popped a game-tying two-out, two-run home run to center in the fifth.
• The Braves regained the lead in the top of the sixth, plating the go-ahead run from first on a two-out error. Sandburg put the leadoff batter on in the sixth and seventh but was unable to advance them.
SANDBURG STANDOUT
Wolfe and Creasey each drove in two on the strength of their two-run homers. Wolfe also came across to score another run.

The Braves scored four times in the third — three of them with two out — to extend their lead to 6-0.
SANDBURG STANDOUT
Wolf had two of the Chargers' four hits as she singled in the second and doubled in the fourth. The sophomore third baseman also scored a run.
UP NEXT FOR SANDBURG
The Chargers will play at Kankakee on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Region IV tournament. The best-of-three series begins at 1 p.m., with all three games scheduled for Tuesday. The winner advances to the Region IV finals Saturday and Sunday at the highest remaining seed.
