Sandburg Women’s Golf Competes at Take Back the Night Challenge
DECATUR — The Carl Sandburg College women's golf team competed at the Millikin Take Back the Night Challenge on Friday at Hickory Point and Saturday at Red Tail Run.
Averi Heintzelman (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) paced the Chargers with a 36-hole total of 200 to finish in 37th place. Heintzelman shot a 90 in Friday's opening round.
Anna Duden (Gifford, Ill./Armstrong) and Olivia Schwingle (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) each tied for 39th with scores of 208 for the tournament. Duden shot 102 in the first round, while Schwingle's 100 on a breezy Saturday was the low round of the day for the Chargers.
DePauw's Andrienne Pemberton won the event by a stroke with a two-day score of 165. DePauw also took home the team title.
