Sandburg Women’s Golf Opens Spring Season at IW Spring Tiger Classic
FORT MADISON, Iowa — The Carl Sandburg College women's golf team kicked off its spring season at the Iowa Wesleyan Spring Tiger Classic on a brisk Tuesday at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course.
All three Chargers placed in the top 20, led by Olivia Schwingle (Sterling, Ill./Sterling), who shot a 94 and tied for 12th.
Freshman Anna Duden (Gifford, Ill./Armstrong) was 15th with a score of 97, and sophomore Averi Heintzelman (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) tied for 20th with a 102 on a day with windy conditions and temperatures in the 40s.
Iowa Wesleyan's Aubrey Duncan and Waldorf's Jordan Aholt shared medalist honors with rounds of 10-over-par 81.
