Chargers fall at Triton despite Kisler’s 9th double-double
GALESBURG — Antonia Kisler turned in another huge performance, but the Sandburg women's basketball team saw its three-game win streak snapped in an 82-66 loss at Triton on Thursday night.
Kisler totaled 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, leading the Chargers (15-8) in all three categories. The double-double was the ninth of the season for the freshman from Galesburg. Kisler finished 9 of 22 from the floor and was 8 of 10 from the free-throw line.
Kisler has scored in double digits in 11 straight contests, averaging 18.6 points per game. She has three 20-point outings in the last five games, averaging 23.0 points.
Brook Pieper had 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including going 3 for 4 from 3-point range.
Tiera Hall had seven points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Chargers.
Sandburg trailed the Trojans just 31-28 at halftime, but Triton outscored the Chargers 27-21 in the third as it extended its lead to 58-49.
The Trojans were led by Jordyn Coleman's game-highs of 28 points and 14 rebounds. Jazzmine Smith had 23 points for Triton.
