Lewis has 2 Hits in Chargers’ Opening Doubleheader

MOBILE, Ala. — The Carl Sandburg College softball team opened its 2024 schedule with a doubleheader Sunday at Bishop State. The Chargers dropped both ends of the twinbill as Olivia Lewis collected a hit in both contests.

KEY MOMENT
After Mary Hellige kept Bishop State off the board in the opening inning, the Wildcats plated eight runs in the second on the strength of six hits, a walk and a Chargers error.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Maleaha Nagel doubled to lead off the fourth and later scored on a bases-loaded single by Lewis for the Chargers' lone run of the game.
