GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College softball team banged out 26 runs on 26 hits to sweep an Arrowhead Conference doubleheader against Black Hawk on Tuesday at the Hungate Baseball/Softball Complex.

Key Moments
• After Black Hawk tied the game at 8-8 in the top of the fourth, Chelsey Catton (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) put Sandburg back on top in the bottom of the inning with a two-out single that scored Kayla Wolf (Chillicothe, Ill./Illinois Valley Central) from second.
Emma Wolfe (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) gave the Chargers some breathing room in the fifth inning by smashing a three-run homer to center for a 12-8 lead.

Sandburg Standout
Wolfe went 3 for 4 with a double, homer, walk, three runs scored and five RBIs to lead a 14-hit Chargers attack.

Key Moment
The Chargers opened the third inning with four consecutive singles and took advantage of a pair of Black Hawk errors to plate four runs and extend their lead to 6-0.

Sandburg Standout
Gabby Blanchard (South Pekin, Ill./Pekin) was a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate, collecting base hits in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings. The second baseman scored a run and knocked in two.
