Etienne Records 2 Assists in Chargers’ Win Over Bryant & Stratton

GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College men's soccer team tallied three second-half goals and held on to defeat Bryant & Stratton 3-2 in a Region 4 contest on Wednesday afternoon at Kleine Field.
Saul Etienne had two assists for the Chargers, who improved to 6-1-2 overall on the season.
After a scoreless first half, Etienne fed Rodrigo De la Fuente in the 47th minute for the opening goal and a 1-0 lead. The Bobcats tied the game in the 64th minute, but Sandburg answered with back-to-back scores for a 3-1 advantage.
Vinicios Goncalves Sartorello assisted on the go-ahead goal by Felipe Endo Dos Santos in the 71st minute. Then in the 74th minute, Sartorello scored a goal of his own on with an assist from Etienne.
Juan Guerra-Rosales' unassisted goal in the 87th minute pulled the Bobcats within a goal, but Sandburg was able to close out the victory.
Chargers keeper Lucas Maranhao made five saves in the victory as he moved to 3-0-1 in net.
