All 13 Chargers score vs. Red Devils as Sandburg men get 3rd straight win
GALESBURG — All 13 members of the Sandburg men's basketball team recorded a field goal as the Chargers finished off a home-and-home series sweep of Eureka JV 86-54 on Wednesday night.
With the win, Sandburg pushed its winning streak to three games and has been victorious in five of its last six. The Chargers wasted little time fending off the Red Devils on Wednesday, jumping to a 39-12 halftime lead.
Sophomore point guard Ralph Wires had a team-best 15 points in the win for the Chargers, scoring eight in the first half.
Sophomore Camron Williams totaled a career-high 13, with 11 of his points coming after halftime. Williams knocked down one of the Chargers' eight 3-pointers on the night, and he was 2 of 2 at the foul line. Williams' previous career best was 10 points on three occasions, most recently last Saturday against Harper.
Freshmen Rylan Carton and Griffin Briles each added 11 points for Sandburg. Briles' output matched his most in a contest this season.
